On 16th June, 2009, Mr. Jan Müller and his colleagues paid a visit to I&G. Dr. Xu Jie, the Chief Technical Officer of I&G received their visit. Both parties conducted extensive exchanges and staff from relevant departments participated in the meeting.
First of all, Dr. Xu introduced the history, operation status and R&D in construction surety. She stated that reinsurance is one of the important ways of dispersing risk in construction surety sector. She also expressed I&G’s wiliness to conduct further discussions with Hannover Re. Mr. Jan Müller expressed as well Hannover Re’s wiliness to develop reinsurance business in China and hoped that both parties can start from real cases.
During the meeting both parties conducted discussions on products for cooperation, ways of cooperation, risk and premium sharing, underwriting standards and loss ratio. Finally both parties expressed confidence in further communication and deeper cooperation.
